Lot 5321
ISLAMIC. Circa AH 2nd-4th century / AD 8th-10th century. Seal (Lead, 27 mm, 10.21 g), with a string hole. Illegible Kufic inscription in three lines, of which the first line seems to begin with ‘[bi]sm Allāh’ (‘In the name of Allah’ in Arabic) and the third line begins with ‘ʿAbd Allāh’ (‘The servant of Allah’ in Arabic) which can, of course, be a proper name as well. Some deposits, otherwise, nearly very fine.

From an important collection of Byzantine and Islamic coins and seals, formed over the past 25 years.
